My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

May was an owner surrender and still a little nervous here with us. She is doing better all the time but would definitely thrive in a calmer home environment. She would be very happy to be your companion if you give her a chance.

May is two and a half years old.

The adoption fee for adult cats, seven months and older, is $100. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a cat, stop by the shelter during open hours.

More about this shelter

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
