Dog's Name: Frodo (AKAFroggy) (FRO0324CHEMD)
Estimated Breed: Border Collie Mix
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 35 LBS
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Frodo, a friendly border collie mix searching for his forever home! Could that be with you? Frodo came to us from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. He is your typical playful and loving dog. He also does GREAT with other dogs. Froggy would do well in an active home. At his young age, he is in his prime for training and socialization. Please remember that young puppies need plenty of time, love, and patience to become the best canine citizens they can be. If you are looking for an amazing new addition to your pack, submit an application today!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org.
