My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marble was a mom with puppies...they were going to be euthanized in a small shelter in TX.

They had a terrible story... they were seized by animal control and the owner was charged and convicted for felony animal cruelty. Marble was in a crate that was way too small for her, and the puppies were in a separate crate. She originally had 6 pups but one had passed away. When animal control found them, one of the pups was feeding on the decreased sibling in order to survive. Mama and puppies were living in their own excrement, and all were extremely emaciated when found. Now, they were in the shelter...all out of time. Hoping for rescue a chance to experience a happy life.

Our amazing coordinator worked to get them out and we had amazing fosters who opened their homes to these beautiful pups.

Now, Marble is living in the loved life for the first time in her foster home...and some of her babies are off with their families.

She's ready for what every dog should know...a loving home. Her foster family adores her. She's a feisty girl with a heart of gold who LOVES deeply and adores cuddling. She's on the small side of medium and is adorable!!!

She had tested positive for heartworm, but has completed treatment and is ready for her forever! Dogs with heartworm go on to live long, healthy lives after treatment.

More about this rescue

Our mission at ARF is to protect and advocate for animals in need; to build a humane community that promotes compassion and seeks to strengthen the human animal bond. We believe that no animal should endure the pain and suffering of a life of abandonment and neglect. We believe that through education, spaying and neutering, community outreach, and owner retention programs we can limit the overpopulation of animals and decrease the number of shelter animals in need. As human stewards of this Earth, we at ARF work to support and preserve precious life and strive to create a humane living environment for all animals.
