Emmy and her 3 littermates were found at a feral cat colony when they were just weeks old. They were too young to be returned to the site, so they were temp fostered until they could come to Heartland. Emmy is initially a bit shy and timid, but she's very docile and sweet once she gets to know you. She loves ear scratches and head rubs and will gently nuzzle your hand with her face when she wants attention. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and is very gentle.
Emmy loves to play with toys and eat canned food, both of which are excellent tools for gaining her trust and building a rapport with her. She really wants to be brave and seek affection, but she just needs time and patience to do so on her terms and time. She adores other kitties, including her sister Fiona, so being in a home with a confident, friendly cat would be ideal to help her feel more comfortable and at ease. I would really love for her and Fiona to be adopted together as they are quite bonded. No young kids as she would easily frighten with them. She may do fine with a cat-friendly, calm dog. Emmy is spayed, chipped, negative for FeLV/FIV, recently had a dental and current on vaccinations - DOB 4/15/22 (tag 13182JB).
