My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sheba-Beeba, takes her job very very seriously!! She will let you know if she sees or hears anything, as a shepherd we think she has been used as as an alert dog and she really believes that is her job.
Sheba is friendly and will sit and shake for you for treats, she has good manners and will let you know when she is ready to go outside, or she will just lay at your feet and wait for you to go outside too :) OR let you know that the cable guy is at the door :)
Sheba came from the pound in horrible shape, she had multiple mammary masses (luckily nothing was cancerous) that were all removed. She was so so skinny and sad and close to being killed. However, one of the recently retired live release counselors from the pound actually saw her and saved her life by FOSTERING HER!!
She is so thankful and will make anyone a great companion (except other dogs or other prey animals) She is a single dog home, but she is ALL you need to keep you happy, safe and loved!!

Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
