Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Leonard the Persian needs a new home*
Leonard was adopted and no matter what the owner has tried, he will not get along with her other cat. She just wants Leonard to be happy so she feels a new home is what he needs. If interested in adoption, please complete an application at rescueangelssomd.com.
Hi! My name is Leonard and, yes, I know my name and I love hearing it! I am a very lovey and chatty 4 year old Seal Point Persian. I have big blue eyes that will make you melt and an even bigger heart that will adore you forever. I LOVE people. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I get used to your smell, prepare for me to stick to you like Velcro. It would be just the best if you telecommuted for work or are retired so I can spend ALL day with you, but if you can’t, that’s okay, I’ll just save all my attention for you when you get home and be overjoyed to have my person back.
Some of my favorite things are crinkly toys, liquid cat treats (cat go-gurt), face rubs (especially between my nose and forehead!), inside my ears rubbed, and most importantly lots and lots of petting. I tolerate baths, ear cleaning (love it actually), face/eye wiping, brushing, and nail trimmings. Who doesn’t like a spa day? I very much do not like outside, I am not destined to be an outside cat ever. I can’t protect my big beautiful blue eyes and I would very much only like to be in the house with you all day.
Right now, I live in a big house and I don’t like the other cat here (we are kept separate because we haven’t been able to see eye to eye no matter what mom has tried and I know it makes her sad to see us fight), but the dachshund and I are buddies. I would really like to have a place to myself with no other cats to compete with, but maybe a little dog that’s friendly would be okay. I’ve never met kids, but if they’re quiet and gentle, I think I’d be okay with that.
There’s not much more to know about me, but I look forward to getting to know all about you! I’m so excited to meet my new best friend(s) and can’t wait to be home.

It broke my heart writing all of that. I love him so very much and want him to go to the best home where he gets to be #1. I’ve tried every Jackson Galaxy recommendation I could find online, tried feliway diffusers in every room of the house, tried hormone collars on both cats, and no success. They get into spats every time they’ve show progress and checked the right criteria to be in the same room as each other only to resort to severe aggression that look like looney toons characters rolling over each other fighting and it makes me so upset to see it. I would keep him if I could make it work, but he antagonizes her if she gets close to me or if she’s in a vulnerable spot like the littler box and she’s already shown signs of stress by peeing in a few places. It’s died down since they have been separated for the last month and she’s using the little box okay now, but I think he would be best as an only cat. Little dogs are okay if they’re not the yappy or high prey-drive kind, the big dog in the house scares him, but she’s a gentle giant and just chooses to avoid Leonard now because he’s swiped at her a few times. I just want him to be happy, and I know he’s getting the short end of the stick right now and a home where he gets the undivided attention he desires is what’s best. He deserves it and he just has the most wonderful spirit and is so great with people and he’s goofy and sweet and is so perfect.
