Meet Okoye!

Okoye is a 7-year old lab/hound mix and about 30lbs. She is currently fostered in Columbia, MD.

Okoye is a sweet dog who loves to cuddle and sit on your lap. She is skittish when she first meets new human, but she does warm up fairly quickly. She bonds strong with her people and is your typical Velcro dog. Because of this, Okoye needs a family that is more home than not. She is not a fan of being home along for long periods of time.

Okoye lives with other dogs and loves them. So if you have a doggy friend for Okoye, she would love that. She will need to be introduced properly and slowly, but she does enjoy playing with other dogs.

Okoye would do well in a family with older, dog-savvy children, who will give her space when she needs it. we do not recommend infants or young children at this time.

Okoye walks well on leash and is very food/treat-motivated. So make sure to have those treats ready!
