My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email.

It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.

The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat!

DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS and his 3 brothers (SERGEANT JEFFREY " JACK " MUMFORD, SERGEANT STEVENS and SERGEANT BECKER) were found by the side of a freeway. Our trapper friend could not find a rescue. They had to live in a kitty tent in someone's backyard. When she told us, we frantically got them here. SERGEANT BECKER is with our rescue now and is ready to be adopted.

Meet DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS, a mysterious and handsome one-year-old Domestic Shorthair and Siamese Flame point mix from Torrance, California. His quiet curiosity is only outshone by his striking cream coat, accented with fiery orange points. This dashing feline might start off a little shy, but once he feels safe, he’s an absolute gem, ready to share his gentle, playful side with those who offer him a caring and loving environment.

DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS, with his unique mix of Siamese elegance and domestic charm, is the ultimate feline sleuth. He’s got the inquisitive eyes of a detective, always observing his surroundings with keen interest. While new situations might make him a little skittish at first, he’s more of a silent observer than a high-strung cat. Give him some time, and you'll discover his love for play, especially with toys that stimulate his curious mind. Laser pointers and feather wands beware—John's got the swift paws of an experienced detective!

This lovable guy adores other cats and would thrive in a home with feline companions to team up with. Whether it’s a game of hide-and-seek or a gentle grooming session, he’s always ready to bond with his fellow four-legged friends. While he’s never been around young children and seems cautious around dogs, his non-reactive nature suggests he might adjust well with proper introductions and a calm, patient approach. He’s spent a lot of his young life in a rescue environment but is longing for a true home, and now he’s ready for the next chapter of his journey.

DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS is looking for a pet parent who understands that trust is earned slowly but, once gained, blossoms into a beautiful relationship. Are you the missing piece in his puzzle? Could your home be the one where this detective finally hangs up his hat and enjoys the comforts of a real, loving family?

If you’re ready to give this gentle, curious boy the home he needs, fill out the online application. Can you crack the case of where this sweet detective belongs?

DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / SIAMEASE FLAMEPOINT MIX . He is about 1 year old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children and seems non-reactive to dogs.

DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.

The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

PETSMART

in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue

in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue

or any PETSMART near you!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.

Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.

We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

DETECTIVE JOHN BURROWS is ALREADY fully vetted.
The adoption fee of $250 covers:

Neuter
FVRCP shots
RABIES shot
FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Drontal Dewormer
Stronghold Flea Control
Microchip

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.

If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask!
