My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buster is a bundle of joy and energy, wrapped in a furry, 14 & 1/2 month-old package. His infectious enthusiasm for life is sure to bring a smile to your face every day. He's a high-energy pup who loves to play and explore, making him the perfect companion for an active family.

One of Buster's most endearing qualities is his love for other dogs. He's a social butterfly and enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes. He's been especially good with small dogs, but we're not sure how he is with cats, so a cat-free environment may be best for now.

Buster is making great progress with potty training. As long as you stick to a consistent schedule, he's likely to continue improving. Patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping him master this skill. Behind his high-energy exterior, Buster is a true sweetheart. He craves human affection and will eagerly shower you with kisses and cuddles. Get ready for a loyal and loving companion.

Buster is a smart pup, but his high energy can sometimes get the best of him. He'll benefit from patient, consistent training to help him channel his exuberance in a positive way. A structured training regimen will help him become the best furry friend he can be. Buster is already crate trained, which is a big plus. It provides him with a secure space and can aid in his training. He also loves mental games.

Buster loves to be on the move, whether it's going for long walks, playing fetch, or exploring the great outdoors. His energy level is boundless, so an active household or someone who loves outdoor activities would be a perfect match. While Buster enjoys the company of children at dog parks, he might be better suited for older kids who can match his energy and playfulness.

Buster is looking for a forever home that can provide him with the love, attention, and exercise he needs to thrive. If you're an active individual or family who's willing to invest time in his training and enjoy his boundless affection, Buster may be the perfect addition to your home.

We don't know his breeds but the search engine forces us to make a choice and since he acts like a Lab mix we marked him as such.

Go meet their pets

Since we are a foster based rescue and don’t have a shelter all meet and greets must be scheduled and walk-ins are not an option. We will travel throughout the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas/states if that means the dog will find their forever home! When we host adoption/community events we will always post them on our Facebook Page Northern Star Dog Rescue.

More about this rescue

We are Northern Star Dog Rescue, a completely foster based non profit dog rescue! We specifically pull all of our dogs from the euthanasia list (most are there due to no fault of their own) and dogs that are homeless or in bad housing conditions. We take them in and place them in foster homes until we can find them their forever homes! We do what we do because our team has a STRONG love for animals especially those that are in dire situations.
