My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paxton - male Red Heeler DOB 10-23-2021. Fred is a lively guy who loves to play and enjoy the great outdoors! He and his brother, Peyton, were brought in as strays and have adjusted well to shelter life. Fred gets along with other dogs, though he can be a bit protective when it comes to feeding time. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who’s always up for an adventure, come meet Fred today!

As a long term resident, his adoption fee is discounted to $50!

More about this shelter

In 1978 a group of neighbors got together to provide foster homes and find families for the ever-increasing number of stray animals roaming the Tri-Lakes area. As the program grew, it became apparent that a shelter facility was necessary. After ten years of fund raising, the Tri-Lakes Humane Society opened in June, 1988!

We are a no-kill 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides temporary shelter for stray and abandoned animals while seeking to find them permanent homes. We receive no state or local funding and rely solely on public donations.
