Hi I'm Roxxie! I'm a 2 year old female pit mix. I was found in January 2023, tied up at a car wash. My finders took me in for a while and tried to find my owners but there was no luck. I was too big for my finders apartment so I was rescued and taken to a foster home where I've been for the last year. I'm crate trained and house trained. I'm dog friendly, good with dog-savvy cats, and love people! I am 70lbs but I don't know my size so I can be a bit of a bull in a china shop when I'm excited. I like kids but I've heard that I might be a bit much for some families with small kids. My true passion in life is tennis balls. They are just the best, ya know? I've been told I'm the goofiest girl ever. I love naps on your lap, treats, playing, walks and any kind of fun activity! I just finished a 2 week boot camp with Suburban K9 Dog Training where I learned how to heel on leash, sit, down, stay, come, place, drop it, and crate commands. I'm really good in my crate! I also worked on in-home manners such as jumping and counter surfing. I would do best in a home that could continue to provide structure and opportunities for me to learn. I've definitely come a long way in making the right decisions! I'm still working on my initial greeting manners when I get too excited meeting someone and forget my size, but I respond well to redirection and once I'm calm I am a great snuggle buddy. My adoptive family will receive a free training session from Suburban K9 to show off everything I've learned! Please come meet me so I can find my forever family!!!!
