My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alakai! This handsome guy has spent far too long in the shelter and is more than ready to find his furever family. When Alakai entered the shelter, he was very nervous and took some time to come around to the staff. But once he's warmed up to you, he's your best friend! Because of his nervous tendencies, Alakai can be a flight risk and will require a securely fenced yard. He has gained quite a bit of confidence since coming to the shelter, and has shown a love for the active adventure-dog lifestyle and is a big fan of hiking! Alakia would do best as the only dog in the home as we have witness some resource guarding while he is with other furry friends. Alakai needs a home with low traffic and no kids as he is fearful of strangers and takes time to warm up. If you are interested in meeting Alakai, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
