My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dora will need some work with socialization and training. She has spent the first 10 months of her life with her single owner and siblings, and needs to learn how to be a family dog. There is a sweetheart just waiting to come out, all she needs is your love and ALOT of training. These are smart, driven dogs who do well with a job - agility, dock diving, barn hunt, hiking, obedience. Someone with dog experience who understands what gems the Malinois is.
All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed.
Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl.
Initial contact with us must be made through e-mail.
E-mail ARFofMercer@gmail.com directly for an adoption application or with any questions. Once your adoption application is approved, you will be invited to meet our dogs/puppies.

More about this rescue

Our dogs and puppies are primarily Sato's, rescued from Puerto Rico in the Rincon area (visit www.barksofhope.com).They are flown to Philadelphia airport, immediately vetted, and treated for internal and external parasites. All our animals are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
Puerto Rico has a terrible problem with unwanted dogs, litters are discarded on the side of the road, in trash cans, and dumped in the woods. If brought to a shelter, the kill rate is 94%. We are always looking for tourists and business people willing to carry on pups to get them out of a bad situation and into loving, forever homes.
