My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Josie is an adorable Catahoula hound mix who is approximately 18 months old. She and her mother, Maybelle, love to romp around.  They would make a good pair to adopt together. Josie is a very playful, full of puppy energy hound mix.  She  weighs approximately 40 pounds.

Additional adoption info

We don't have a facility, so we screen applicants thoroughly before we set up a meet and greet. We conduct a vet check, reference check and a home check. We typical set up the meet at the adoptive home so the home check can be completed at the same time. If both parties agree the pup is a good fit we complete the adoption agreement and accept the adoption fee.

More about this rescue

We are tackling the problem one animal at a time. Ayla’s Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue is a St. Augustine, Florida-based 501(c)(3) supporting adoption, spay and neuter, and responsible care of animals. Along with education, outreach, and adoption and fostering programs, Ayla’s Acres also maintains a 45-acre sanctuary where “unadoptable” animals may live out their lives with peace, love, and dignity.
