Hey there, potential pawrents! I'm Jilly and I'm a one-year-old female dog, but don't let my age fool you - I have the energy and stamina to keep up with any dog! My breed is a mix of boxer, so you know I've got some serious spunk and charm.

I may be small, but I'm mighty! My adorable looks will capture your heart, but my playful personality will keep you on your toes. I love to run, play fetch, and go for long walks, but I also know how to chill and relax when the time calls for it. I'm definitely not your average lapdog - I prefer to be by your side, experiencing the world with you!

More about this rescue

A.C.A. is a network of foster homes, an entity formed to help animals from Evansville Vanderburgh Animal Care and Control. Most of the animals in our foster care program have all come directly from EVACC.

We choose to pull from EVACC because of the thousands of great animals that come through the shelter each year. Thousands of cats and dogs (and some chickens, horses, and small furries) are relinquished to the shelter each year. Some are given up by owners, victims of hard times, or new living circumstances. A larger portion have come in as strays, found on the streets of Evansville, held for 7 days at the shelter for an owner to reclaim them, and then given a very short period of time in which to find an adoptive home before the kennel is needed again for the next animal that comes in.
