My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Makena had a very rough beginning to her life but with the help of a nice neighbor lady she is safely in a foster home.

Makena is approximately 1 to 1 1/2 years old, spayed and up to date on vaccines, Heartworm and flea medications, and microchipped. Makena is high energy so no small children. She was not properly socialized as a pup so she plays rough with other dogs. She does calm down after a few minutes but is excitable in the beginning. She needs another playful dog her age to play with. Because of her upbringing Makena still has some accidents when she gets excited or left alone too long. She is crated when I am at work but loves to be with her people when they are home.

This sweet girl needs someone with a lot of time and patience to continue to show her the love she deserves. Makena needs a fenced yard of her own to get plenty of exercise. If you don’t have a fenced yard (no dog parks) please don’t fill out the application. Makena will also need someone that is retired or works from home because she is still working on housetraining and does well if she can go out ever 2 to 3 hours, and with consistent work she should learn to go longer but for now that is all she is able to do.
