My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello... my name is Ziggy! I’m a small eight-month-old Terrier mix who is looking for a fun, active family to give me their love and attention and to teach me how to be the best boy. I’m playful, affectionate, smart, a little feisty and a super fast zigzag runner. My puppy teeth are falling out too so I like lots of sturdy toys to chew on. I am crate trained, but still learning to go potty outside and to walk on a leash. My foster sisters are nice but they are seniors and my puppy energy can be a bit too much for them. A family with another dog to play with and to learn from would be great. If I sound like the boy for you, please turn in your application in right away!

Additional adoption info

We require an application, application approval, meet and greet, home check, adoption fee and a contract.

2 months -12 months: $425
1 year - 6 years $375
7 years+ - $325

Adoption fee includes :

Shots up to date of adoption, wellness exam, fecal test,
Spay/neuter, Micro-chip and any other medical needed.

We also require to stay first on the micro-chip info for life and have a life time return policy on all our rescue dogs adopted out.

Unfortunately, we do not adopt out of state under any circumstances. We recommend that you visit your local shelter or dog rescues in your area if you are looking to adopt.

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
