Gladys & Juniper Olive: Meet this amazing special-needs duo who met in their foster home and fell in love!
Juniper Olive’s mission is to make sure you will never be bored. He provides all the necessary services to his humans, including endless cuddles, crazy-fun playtime, companionship, and fire-side chats ... everything you need from a kitty friend! Juniper is also an exterminator in training - and he will make sure your home is bug-free while he checks every corner of your house to ensure you are safe and sound! All you need to pay for this superior service from Juniper is good food and treats, as well as endless love. He's silly, loving, playful, and super sweet!
Juniper’s best friend is Gladys, who is a sweet, constant companion. After her life on the streets, she is thrilled to be inside. She greets everyone excitedly with a fast shake of her tail as she eagerly awaits pets. She loves getting brushed. Sometimes she falls over with delight from the salon-like attention! This feline lady loves her pal Juniper, especially when he wants snuggles and naps. She’s very affectionate to her humans, though she’s not really a lap cat.
Gladys has hyperthyroidism, which she takes a pill for every day—and will need to for the rest of her life. She also has a very slow-growing mass in her lung, which right now is not causing her any problems. In fact, at a recent vet visit, the vet said her lab work is normal, and we will take that as a win! We don't know what the future will bring for Gladys, and we'd really love to have her find her forever family so she can continue to get all the love and spoiling she deserves, for however long she has to return it. Gladys is around 11 years old.
We consider Juniper to be a special needs cat because he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (the most commonly diagnosed cardiac disease in cats), a condition that causes the muscular walls of a cat's heart to thicken. Juniper is on daily medication to help him feel his best, and right now, he's doing great! He will need to be on medication for his whole life and will need routine vet visits and cardiac evaluations as needed. We hope someone with a heart as full of love as Juniper's will open their home to him and Gladys and give them the forever family they truly deserve.
Both kitties can live with kids and other cats. They are spayed/neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax)
(Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)
