My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Courtesy post...Meet Mr Bo - A Senior Sweetheart in Search of a Loving Home! Mr Bo is a lean, medium-sized American Staffordshire Terrier with a beautiful fawn coat, weighing between 55-60 lbs and approximately 12-13 years young.

Since being rescued in 2013, Mr Bo has been a source of joy and affection, brightening the lives of those around him with his unwavering spirit. His day begins with the sun, enjoying meals, strolls, playtime, and quiet moments of snuggling.

Despite facing health challenges, including benign tumors, he remains resilient with consistent care and medication for his sensitive tummy and anxiety.

Mr Bo is well-mannered, knows basic commands, and enjoys outdoor adventures, though he prefers to stay on leash. He loves healthy treats, fetch, and exploring nature, but dislikes surprises from behind and feline friends.

With your love and understanding, Mr Bo is ready to embrace life's adventures with open paws. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this charming senior sweetheart? If so, come meet Mr Bo and create beautiful memories together! ❤️

***Disclaimer***

Unfortunately, there are not enough rooms at the inn to admit every dog that needs a furever home. But, we still want to help those dogs (and cats) on their journey! By courtesy posting, AAHA is offering our website/network as an additional resource to help an owner or shelter gain additional exposure for the dog they are trying to place.

AAHA has not met nor evaluated the dog (or cat) we are courtesy posting. AAHA makes no representation about courtesy posted pets including the health and temperament and accepts no liability in this exchange.

Arrangements for adoptions are made between the caretaker of the pet and the potential adopter.

Go meet their pets

We are a rescue that is dependent on volunteers as we do not have a physical building. We rent space at a kennel in Upperco, Md. If you would like to meet one of our dogs please contact us to make arrangements. Thanks!

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
