Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read ALL of this listing prior to asking questions. If you are interested in Ciera and feel that you would be a good match for her, please submit an application, as stated towards the end of her listing. After we receive your application we will contact you... thank you!
Meet Ciera... our very sweet and loving senior Dachshund who is looking for her forever home. Her previous guardian suffers from dementia and was not able to tell us her age, but our vet said she's probably about 12-years old.
Even with her age and very short legs, she's a spunky little girl and loves to explore, go for walks, and ride in the car. We are looking for a family for her who is active and will take her for walks and new adventures. She's so very well behaved and social that she will be the perfect take-along companion.
Ciera gets along with everyone... humans, both young and old, and other dogs, both big and small. She is crate trained and housetrained.
Ciera currently weighs about 15-lbs, but we are helping her to loose a few excess pound. With an active lifestyle and closely monitoring her food and treats, she should be able to shed her extra pounds in a couple more months.
Ciera is healthy and is current on her Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccines. She tested negative for Heartworms, is microchipped, and had a dental cleaning. Our veterinarian isn't sure if she is spayed or not, and he suggested that because of her age we wait to see if she ever goes into heat. If at any time, even after her adoption, she needs to be spayed, we will cover the cost.
Ciera's adoption fee is $400.00
Ciera is a loving, active, and smart little girl who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that Ciera would be a good match for your family, please submit an application by going to our website foreverhomek9rescue.org for an application and email the completed application to us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com. You can also submit an application by going to: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption/ (cut and paste).
Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home!
Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
