Personality: Daisy is a sweet and gentle soul, a delicate bloom with a heart full of love waiting to unfold. Despite her initial reservations, Daisy is a loyal friend once she trusts you. She may take a bit of time to warm up, but patience and understanding will be rewarded with the genuine affection she has to offer. In a calm and nurturing environment, Daisy's playful side starts to emerge, revealing a delightful personality that's just waiting to bloom. Daisy absolutely adores belly rubs and finds pure joy in the simple pleasure of being pampered. Her face lights up with happiness as she revels in the gentle touch that brings her comfort and reassurance.
If you're ready to be the sunshine in Daisy's world, offering her the patient and loving home she deserves, you might just find that this pup becomes the brightest bloom in your life. Adopt Daisy, and watch as she unfolds into the wonderful canine companion she was meant to be, bringing love, joy, and a touch of reserved charm into your home.
History: Daisy, a sweet pup, was initially adopted from OHAR as a young and hopeful addition to a loving family. Unfortunately, circumstances changed, and her family made the difficult decision to return her. This sudden turn of events left Daisy heartbroken and bewildered, as her familiar world crumbled around her. Now, in a new environment, Daisy is in the process of adapting to her changed circumstances. As we uncover more about Daisy's personality and journey, her bio and photos will be updated to reflect the resilient and lovable spirit that defines her.
Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! • Place personal ID on the animal as soon as possible. We microchip and register all rescued animals.
• Provide an environment for the animal that keeps it safe and secure
• Complete an application, allow a home visit and reference checks
Renters: If you rent or lease your home, we require a copy of the pet deposit receipt from the landlord or apartment complex prior to adoption.
• The adoption fees vary and are shown on each pet's bio on their cage. All adopted pets will come with medical records, vaccination records, be spayed or neutered and micro-chipped.
• We spend over $200 on each pet, which includes medical care, boarding and food. Your donation is not to pay for the medical care on the animal you are adopting; previous donations covered those costs. Your adoption fee allows us to continue our rescue and adoption efforts and is therefore is not refundable.
Adoption saves lives. Please consider a rescue pet before buying from a breeder or pet store. Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA. If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.

Jim & Bettye Baker have been rescuing dogs and cats for many years and finally achieved 501(c)3 status. We bought 9 acres and built a building for this purpose and began a partnership with another local rescue that has storefront space donated to them in North Dallas. We pull dogs and cats from local city shelters after their adoption time has expired, get them vetted and chipped and offer them for adoption every weekend. PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE WWW.OHAR.ORG and see all our adoptable dogs and cats.
