Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Mama Lola is a gorgeous American piggie and our first out of state shelter pull. She was found abandoned outside with an adult male and many young babies. Her entire family was adopted, as she sat in the shelter alone and very very pregnant. After four days of being in our care she had (5) healthy babies!
Lola is extremely sweet and loves all the cuddles she can get. Even though she has grown tremendously while being with her foster mama, she still needs someone that will be patient and understanding as she continues to learn to trust humans again. She absolutely LOVVVVES her Vitamin C cookies and will WHEEK loudly any time she hears a bag crinkle! She enjoys cuddling while watching TV and likes to stay clean. She is still timid when coming up to her enclosure but once she's out and in your hands, she just melts into your arms. She is now comfortable taking treats and veggies from your hands!
Mama Lola MUST be adopted in hopes to bond with existing female(s) in your home.

Please know we are working with Adopt-A-Pet to fix the "Apply to Adopt" button on our piggy profiles. Currently, it will open a blank page due to it adding "amp;" to our link between the & and m but if you delete "amp;" from the link in bar, hit enter, it will then direct you to our adoption application.

More about this rescue
We are a small foster based guinea pig rescue in Southern Maryland. Our 501c3 nonprofit rescue's mission is to educate the public on proper guinea pig care and husbandry as pet stores often misinform the public about cage size, nutrition, what is and is not safe, and guinea pigs are often mis sexed or sick at pet stores which leads to guinea pigs being surrendered or worse, abandoned outside. By adopting from rescues like ours, it helps to ensure adopters won't have surprise/unwanted pregnancies, unhealthy piggies, mis sexed guinea pigs while also helping guinea pigs to stay in their furever homes!
