Meet Ernest, a charming three-year-old, 56-pound Basset Hound mix with an affinity for adventure, guided by his remarkable nose. This lowrider pup is a wonderful companion, finding contentment in the company of people and the joy of cuddles and pets. Ernest isn’t one for toys, but he expresses his affection through gentle licks and a devoted, easy-going personality. A quick learner, he’s already mastered sitting for treats and walks well on a leash. When he encounters other dogs, he may let out a deep-voiced "woof" and give a slight tug, but he’s easily redirected, showing his adaptable and well-mannered nature. He's an intelligent boy with a desire to please.

Ernest has been at Home Fur Good before. Unfortunately, his previous adopter had a change of living circumstances and was no longer able to care for him. Ernest is ready to take a sad song and make it better. He would love to find a forever home. His $225 adoption fee includes neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
