Meet George
Are you willing and able to help with this dog? Please contact me.
Introductions from the owner:
George is a three-year-old Caucasian Shepherd / Central Asian Shepherd cross, weighing in at approximately 150lbs. George has a gentle temperament and currently is an indoor/outdoor dog and comes in at night to sleep and is trained to ask to go outside to relieve himself.
Health and care: George has been neutered. He is up to date with his vaccines. For vet appointments as of January 17 he went in for allergy treatment for the allergy to pine sap and ear cleaning supplies.
When George was younger, he had an unfortunate accident and was hit by a car. Although he used to have a slight limp favoring his back left leg, he has shown no signs of pain or discomfort in the past year.
A Caring and Energetic Companion: George is a bundle of love and energy! He enjoys spending most of his time sprinting around the yard, playing tug, and seeking pets. George has a caring nature and is eager to share his love with the right family. He often snuggles up against anyone around him or appreciates someone standing next to him while surveying the yard.
Training and Commands: George is very independent-minded, we have taught him to come, sit, and lie down. However, it depends if George wants to follow the instructions.
Socialization: George has not been around farm animals, so we cannot guarantee how he will react in that setting. Nor has George been socializing with other dogs. We do have a cat at home, George wants to play with the cat but just ends up scaring our cat away.
George has a few parts of living in Surrey that he is not a fan of: he is compelled to howl at sirens. And for people who stand on the opposite side of our fence, he needs to let them know he is there.
Reason for Rehoming: Due to the covid, my partner cannot handle the sound of George barking without significant stress and pain. Unfortunately, she is at home most of the time to take care of George. We do not have the funds to put him in daycare or the strength or will to walk him on a leash without being tugged along when he sees a squirrel. He is stuck in our yard which seems barely big enough for him. We took him out of a rough situation but are barely able to take care of him
