Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🌼Cats: unknown, foster mom suspects he’ll do fine due to his laid back, passive nature
🌼Dogs: Has done great with smaller foster dogs. He is passive with them &; shows no toy or food aggression.
🌼Children: unknown but likely he would be fine.
🌼Crate trained: won’t go near it with a 10-foot pole. Foster mom keeps him in a playpen when she leaves but he can get out of it.
🌼Leash trained: No, but he’ll be a fast learner.
🌼Potty training: Working on it. He is poo trained but still wears belly bands in the house.
Van Halen is a super laid back, loving lug of a dog. He loves pets &cuddles & will rub on your legs like a
cat. He follows foster mom around and needs to be able to always see her. He does not know how big he is and would be a very happy lap dog. Van is learning how to behave in a home environment and has really adapted well. He is super smart and figured out how to get out of his play pen on day 4 and has never looked back! Sleeps on his bed in foster mom’s room but would love to be IN the bed. He hasn’t
shown much interest in any treats but will do just about anything for cheese. He REALLY wants people food and counter surfs but responds well to redirection.
It has been too cold to spend much time outside, but foster mom thinks Van would love to be more active with walks, runs and playing ball. Currently he loves to take laps around the yard. Van still shows some hesitance going up and down stairs and crossing thresholds to come in from outside but with a
short tug on his collar he will do it. He plays with 14# foster brother and is not aggressive at all. He has
shown no toy or food aggression. He has had pee accidents in the house but no poo. Wears belly bands
most of the time in the house.
Great things about Van Halen:
1. Lover, lover, lover
2. So smart
3. Gets along with everyone – people and animal
4. So handsome & regal – cream with “champagne” accents that will show when hair grows out
5. Doesn’t snore
Who will be the lucky person to be Van Halen’s companion???
