Oh sweet, sad boy Dylan. Dylan had a really rough go for the first half of his life, and was rescued off the streets by Project MEOW with a terrible case of mange and a flea allergy that left him covered in scabs and mostly hairless.
Over the last six months, Dylan has recovered beautifully in his foster home and is learning to trust people again. He currently lives with a companion cat, Chanel Ruby (also available for adoption) and they would be happiest if they were adopted together. That said, Dylan would thrive in a quiet home with a person or couple that has the patience to let him come out of his shell.
When Dylan first came to his foster, he wouldn't come out of his carrier, and would only eat if he were completely alone. Now he gratefully seeks out pets every morning, rubs against his foster parents' legs while getting fed, and even rolls over to get belly rubs. He is improving every single day and is sure to reward his forever family with his true personality once he feels safe enough to let it out.
A gentle, quiet boy, Dylan prefers his own space but will always chose a spot where he can be seen and where he can see you. I imagine him being paired with a novelist - one day, you're typing out the last page of your first book. You can feel the hum of completion just around the corner. But out of nowhere, for the first time, Dylan has stepped in front of the computer and bumped his soft head against your hand. You close the computer and welcome him onto your lap. The novel can be finished another day.
Dylan Farson is 4-5 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax)

Cats under 1 year old: $150 + 8% sales tax = $162
Cats aged 1-10 years old: $100 + 8% sales tax = $108
Two kittens under 1 year old: $225 + 8% sales tax = $243
Senior Cats (10+ years old): $75 + 8% sales tax = $81
* You must be 18 or older to adopt. If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian submit an application on your behalf.
* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
