My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lief Purrikson aka Lief the Lucky. This mighty explorer is hunting for the next adventure in his lifetime – his own loving home. He appeared at a managed colony in 2023, and at first meeting, was deemed feral, so he was solely a TNR at the time. However, with some consistency in daily feedings, he quickly dropped his shoulders and showed the actual full depth of his personality to his caretaker.

Lief decided to take the next step on his grand adventure right before the snow hit in 2024, and moved into his current foster’s office. He’s acclimated so well, both to the indoor life and his fellow office foster siblings. Lief is generally very low maintenance, gentle and loves all of the pets, and head scritches you want to rain down on his big-cheeked head. He’s even known to offer up his sacred belly for rubs and kisses once you’ve secured his trust. Lief also *loves* his bed (or any soft spot really) where he can snuggle up and sleep his day away. Lief also enjoys playtime and hasn’t met a wand toy he doesn’t want to chase. Of late, he’s gotten into his “underground” explorations of going through all the various cat tunnels located throughout the office.

Lief Purrickson gets along with all he meets and does exceptionally well with other cats. He’s also open to being your one and only, too, if that’s more your speed.

Lief Purrickson is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.

Cats aged 1-10 years old: $100 + 8% sales tax = $108

* You must be 18 or older to adopt. If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian submit an application on your behalf.
* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
