My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hambone, a 1yr old male Lab mix that is fully vetted, UTD on all vaccines, & ready for adoption! Hambone is a HAM! With those big ol ears, he could fly away like Dumbo. Hambone was part of a neglect case & brought to HSAC by our Humane Agent along with Sadie, his little sister. He weighs roughly 60lbs this big ol boy has the energy of a puppy but the heart of a lion. Hambone just needs a second chance to find a family who will always love him, take care of him, & give him what he needs & deserves. Hambone would do great in a home with dogs, cats, & children. He would love to be a part of a big family with kids. If you think this hunk is the boy for you, just place an application today! If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-8585 to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.
