My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Belen, the most beautiful husky you'll ever lay eyes on! This stunning girl truly is a princess, and she carries herself with a grace and charm that will captivate anyone who meets her. At about 3 years old, Belen has all the wonderful traits that make huskies such a beloved breed-she's playful, smart, and full of that irresistible husky charisma.

Belen is more than just a pretty face; she's a delightful companion who loves to interact with her people. Whether she's "talking to you in that signature husky way, showering you with kisses, or snuggling up for some quality time, Belen knows how to make you smile. Her affectionate nature and joyful spirit are absolutely infectious-having Belen in your life means endless smiles and happy moments.

This magical girl is also a true adventurer at heart. She's always ready for the next exciting outing, whether it's a hike in the woods, a trip to the park, or simply a walk around the neighborhood. Belen loves the company of other dogs and thrives in an environment where she can explore and enjoy new experiences. Her energy and enthusiasm make her the perfect partner for someone who loves to stay active and enjoy the great outdoors.

Belen is looking for a forever home where she can be pampered and loved as the princess she is. In return, she'll bring so much joy, love, and beauty into your life. With her playful personality and loving heart, Belen is sure to become a cherished member of any family. If you're ready for a life filled with adventure, snuggles, and endless smiles, Belen is the perfect dog for you. More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
