My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goober is a kind old soul. He's a social loving buddy. He likes kids attention, he'll say hi to anyone big, small, young, old, male, female, his love doesn't discriminate. He's also good with cats and gets along with other dogs regardless of size or gender.

We must admit he is a little shy at first with big dogs but once they say hi, he's ready to play tag. He is good on leash and enjoys walks at sunset. He knows a few commands like sit, stop, stay, and go. He has never shown aggression of any type. He doesn't guard food nor toys.

He'll make you laugh in sadness, console you in grief or simply keep you company in happy times. Goober is the whole package, if we had more money to care for his health we would definitely keep him.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
