Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This girl just needs a loving hand to be patient with her. Her previous home didn't have the experience or the time to help her adjust to their home or routine. And simply saw her as a nuisance. When indeed, she's a very sweet dog with a big heart. Her previous fosters were working with her and she had come a long way! She now knows she's safe and very much loved. Princess has been living back in the kennels for a few months, but this girl deserves to be in a home like they all do. She is absolutely lovely and anyone would be lucky to spend their days with her.
Now it's time for her to find a family who won't give up on her and will love her unconditionally as she will love them
Location: Simcoe, Ontario
Name: Princess
Breed: Bulldog Mix
Weight: approx.100lbs
Gender: Female
Spayed/Neutered: Spayed
Age: 5 years
Medical (shots etc.): UTD
Good with dogs: Selective with male dogs, not a fan of females at all – only passive and submissive males as she does not like dominant dogs
Good with cats: No small animals, has prey drive
Good with kids: Yes, kids 10+ as she can be nippy if kids have food. Not aggressively but like most dogs she should be supervised when kids have food
Good with strangers: Yes, she loves people, and she is so excited to see everyone!
Guarding Issues: Sometimes with food/treats and favorite toys.
House Trained: Yes
Crate-Trained: No
Destructive: Only with her toys, she chews them apart rather quickly. The only balls that last are ChuckIt Ultra balls, her favorite!
Leash skills: Moderate – she is a puller at first from excitement but once she starts walking, she calms down
Okay with manipulations: yes, LOVES food – very food motivated
Known commands: Sit, lay down, Stay, Talk
Behavior Issues: We have been working on her barking and she is doing good. If the lid isn’t on the trash, she will get into it
Medical issues: None
Other Observations: She is so full of love; she only wants to be cuddled and laze around with her humans. Can spend forever playing fetch or watching you do your thing. Princess is best friend material; she is such a people pleaser, such a quick learner, and will always put a smile on your face!
