Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucy Lou: A Loyal Companion Lucy is a small, shy dog with a heart of gold. She adores her daily walks and behaves impeccably on the leash. While she's generally quiet, Lucy turns into a vigilant guard dog whenever someone approaches the front door, emitting a cute bark that reveals her petite size and feminine charm. She loves nothing more than snuggling next to her human, resting her head gently on their leg. Despite her dislike for crates, Lucy is exceptionally well-behaved indoors, showing no interest in making a mess or chewing things. Her favorite spot is a cozy bed, where she lies quietly, basking in the warmth of her home. Although easily frightened, Lucy finds joy in playing with other dogs and is a delightful presence inside the house. With a healthy appetite and a penchant for car rides, Lucy is a special little girl who brings joy to anyone lucky enough to have her in their life. Lucy was turned into the county shelter several months ago with three babies of her own. They were all given vaccines, spayed and neutered, and Lucy had surgery to remove a cyst on her leg. It was also discovered she was Heartworm positive so she must have spent some time outside sadly, before she was found. Her babies were all adopted and little scared Lucy was left all alone. The shelter asked if we could help as it is no place for such a scared little one and of course, we said yes. Lucy is 2-3 years old, weighs around 7-8 lbs and gets along well with other small dogs. She is shy and timid, prefers women, and another small dog to play with. Lucy is chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed. She is on Proheart for heartworm treatment and preventative and will need another injection in five months. (fifty dollars). The vet said to keep an eye on her leg where the cyst was as well but so far all is good. Lucy is located in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. Approved application, home visit, and adoption donation of $275 required.
