Bart is ready to find his patient and loving home through PAWS Rescue, Inc.
Bart is a 3- to 4-year-old mixed breed, weighing in at a compact 30 pounds. This lovable snuggle bug thrives on companionship and is incredibly loyal to his person, always ready to shower you with affection. Bart can be a little nervous and standoffish meeting new people so patience and lots of treats are a must.
He is a great leash walker who truly enjoys his daily walks and car rides, making him a fantastic adventure buddy.
He’s house-trained and highly treat-motivated, which makes him eager to learn and easy to train. While Bart gets along well with small female dogs, he can be selective about his canine companions and would likely thrive as the only dog in the home or with a smaller female dog. He values a calm, predictable environment where he can be the center of attention.
Interestingly, Bart was found as a stray sharing meals with feral cats, which suggests he may be cat-friendly. However, a formal cat test can be arranged to ensure he’s a good fit for a home with feline companions.
Bart is searching for a loving forever home where he can continue his journey of loyalty, love, and adventure. If you’re looking for a devoted and affectionate companion, Bart might just be your perfect match! Fenced in yard required.

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!
PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.
Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.
Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
