My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Roscoe, a smart and curious dog who's eager to bond with his forever family. He loves spending time with his foster brothers-two cats-when they allow it, and enjoys playtime with his foster brother, a big dog. His absolute favorite activity is chasing after his beloved green soccer ball, and he could do it for hours!

Roscoe is a loyal companion who loves to be close to his people. He'll follow you from room to room, whether it's upstairs to the office or downstairs for a coffee break, always happy to stay by your side and relax at your feet.

Roscoe would thrive with someone experienced with timid dogs, as he can be a little shy and fearful due to his rough start in life. However, with the right loving environment, he's sure to blossom and gain confidence. His gentle heart bonds best with females, though he's comfortable with males after some time to get to know them. While he's not a fan of kennels, we're working on it, and he'd love to be the kind of dog who snuggles in bed with you at night if you're looking for a cuddle partner.

Since Roscoe can be a bit nervous around kids, he'd do best in a home without young children or with dog-savvy older kids.

If you're looking for a loyal, playful friend who adores fetch and being around his people, Roscoe is your guy! He thrives in a home filled with love and attention, and he's fantastic with other dogs, making him the perfect addition to a multi-dog household.

Ready to bring Roscoe into your heart and home? Apply today for a lifetime of love, companionship, and endless fetch games!

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
