Rusty was born in 2018.

He is a sweet orange boy looking for a forever family who will love him. He has gorgeous eyes and he loves to talk to hoomans. Rusty has been with us for quite some time, due to a skin issue. He is allergic to something (still not sure what) but after several steroid shots, he is now doing great! He is very sweet and meows for pets. He loves other cats but is not crazy about dogs. He has gained some weight and needs to be put on a diet. He would do well as an indoor/outdoor cat, but only in a safe environment.

Kitty's adoption fee covers spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age-appropriate distemper vaccines (at least 2), FeLV/FIV test, flea treatment, microchip & registration and dewormer.

We believe that kitties should have a feline friend! For their health and happiness, we highly recommend that kitties be adopted in pairs. If you adopt more than one kitty, you will receive a discount of $25 per kitty. Previous adopters will receive a $25 discount on their new kitty.

If this will be your first kitty, we suggest that you check out this site for a lot of important information: Cat Adoption Checklist. People think cats are easy pets, but they are very unique and there is a lot to learn. There is a lot of information online, and you are always welcome to ask us our advice.

You'll want to make sure you have all the basic supplies before you bring a baby home: nutrious food, bowls (not plastic), litter, litter pan, litter scoop, toys, scratchers & cat trees, nail clippers and a cat carrier.

We are a small group of volunteers who do this in our spare time because of our love for the furry things in life. Specializing in cats, the pets in our adoption program live in foster homes; we do not have a facility. We are based in Statesville, North Carolina, but service all of Iredell County.
