My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Solstice is an amazing and beautiful kitten! She is very affectionate and playful.

Solstice tested positive for feline leukemia on intake to Helping Strays. While she is healthy today, it is impossible to know how much time she has before her quality of life could be affected. It could be months or years. Regardless of how much quality time she has, we think she deserves a loving home. If you think you might be the person to give her that home, please contact Helping Strays. Solstice needs to be an only cat or go to a home with another feline leukemia positive cat. Feline leukemia is not transmissible to dogs or humans.

Here is a link to a feline leukemia fact sheet from Tree House Humane Society that may be helpful (you'll need to copy and paste)

https://treehouseanimals.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/FeLV-Fact-Sheet-Public-1.pdf

If you don't have another cat, or if you have a feline leukemia positive cat, and would like to meet her, we would love to talk with you.

Solstice is nine months old.

Location: Foster home

Soltice's adoption fee is $100. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. Please submit an application if you are interested in adopting.

More about this shelter

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
