My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm Heidi! I'm so happy you're visiting my page. I'm a sweet, gorgeous, social senior lady looking for a forever home with a human I can trust and snuggle with. Not to toot my own horn, but I am a phenomenal companion, not just for you, but for other kitties and human kiddos as well! I get along with just about everyone because I'm such a sweetheart. But don't take my word for it - come meet me and see for yourself!

If you're interested in adopting this animal, please come meet them at our shelter! Our adoption hours are Tuesdays and Saturdays from 12pm-5pm and Wednesdays and Fridays from 12pm-7pm. No appointment is necessary!

We also have adoptable cats at the South Philly PetSmart (2360 W Oregon Ave.) on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 12-3pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30pm.

If you have any questions, email us at adoptions@morrisanimalrefuge.org.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

When you adopt an animal, you’re not just saving the life of the animal you adopted. You’re also opening up space for the next animal in need. Our goal at the Morris Animal Refuge is to approach the adoption process holistically to make the best matches for our adopters and for our animals.

We are no longer requiring appointments or pre-approvals to adopt! Visit our shelter (1242 Lombard St) or PetSmart Adoption Center (2360 Oregon Ave.) during the following hours to adopt your new best friend. We will process your information at the time of adoption and in most cases your animal can go home with you on the same day.

Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday: 11-4
Wednesday: 11-7

2360 Oregon Ave. Adoption Hours*

More about this shelter

The Morris Animal Refuge is a 501(c)(3) shelter dedicated to helping the homeless, abandoned and unwanted pets of the Philadelphia region. Founded in 1874 by Elizabeth Morris, we were the first organization dedicated to sheltering and rehoming pets, and continue that legacy today by providing adoptions, a low-cost spay/neuter program, fostering, humane education and more.
