My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Serenity recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what her DDO buddy had to say!

"Are you looking for a little serenity in your life??? Well, I have the perfect girl for you! Meet sweet Serenity! She is a 5 year old terrier/pit mix. She's a petite lady at 29 pounds. Heartworm negative and ready to love her people.

-Serenity is great in the car. She was a little apprehensive at first, but a treat helped her get cozy in the back seat. She was a quiet rider and enjoyed looking out the window.
-Excellent walker on a leash. If she walked ahead of me, she constantly looked back to make sure I was right with her. She never pulled!
-This girl is treat motivated and loves food. I made her some scrambled eggs and I believe that was the happiest I saw her all day. Lol! She takes her treat like a lady and is patient.
-She doesn't seem to know any commands, like sit or stay, but she is very well mannered. I have no doubt that she could be taught some things once she feels safe and secure in her new home.
-Serenity likes people and is interested in them. She was with me in my office all day. She went to visit my coworker in between walks and naps. She was also curious about folks we passed on the street. I don't think I heard her bark or whine once. We didn't encounter any children or other animals so I can't speak to that.

Serenity is a mild tempered, chill girl. She is also quite a beauty with the most gorgeous eyes! She got a little pep in her step when it was time for a treat, so there is some play in this girl. She is looking for a home where she can be loved, get some good rest and lots of yummy food.
Head over to Guilford County Animal Services between 12-4pm any day except Tuesday to meet Serenity! If you'd like to foster send an email to: kfederico@guilfordcountync.gov"

2nd DDO:

"Meet sweet Serenity! She is a 5 year old terrier/pit mix. She's a petite lady at 29 pounds. Heartworm negative and ready to love her people.

I had the pleasure of a 2nd day out with this girl. She opened up a bit more on our 2nd date. I noticed that she was more playful with me, but still reserved with new people. She loved my 13 year old! She kept giving him kisses any time he gave her attention. I don't think loud, active folks are her vibe.

Serenity LOVES to be outside. She was happy laying on a blanket beside me for quite a while. When we went back in she laid in front of the door watching the neighborhood kids play basketball.

She met our neighborhood cat, JR, and did fine. Not sure about other animals.

Serenity is great in the car. Hopped right in and settled. She was a quiet rider and enjoyed looking out the window or laying down for a snooze.

Excellent walker on a leash. She never pulled! Likes to stop and sniff everything. She's very curious.

This girl loves to eat! I made her some scrambled eggs again and she tried a few other treats that she enjoyed. She takes her treat like a lady and is patient.

She doesn't seem to know any commands, like sit or stay, but she is very well mannered. I have no doubt that she could be taught some things once she feels safe and secure in her new home. I still have not heard a bark or whine out of her.
