Introducing Pidge! Pidge came to FFR after testing positive for Felv at another shetler. After some time with little interest, Pidge started to lose weight and became ill. We got her in to be seen by our vet and Pidge was diagnosed with FIP, a strand of the corona virus that only affects cats, causing fluid build up in teh abdomen, fever, difficulty breathing, loss of appetite, etc. Cats diagnosed with FIP often don't survive. Even though we weren't sure what the outcome was Pidge was going to be we decided to do everything we could to fight for the sweet girl, and she fought back just as hard! Pidge was sent to a foster home for over 80 days, recieved daily love and care, and began to show improvement after just a couple of days! The worked with her for months to get Pidge happy and healthy again, and it payed off! Pidge is not netter than ever and has come back to the shelter for a chance to find her forever home. She has done fine with other cats but also wouldn't mind a home all to herself. She loves to cuddle and is a total lap cat.

Rats - $8.00 for one (only if you have an existing rat), $10 for two, $50 for family with cage
The main caregiver and an adult in the family are required to be present and meet the animal to adopt. An application and signed contract is required, and homeownership or verification from a landlord that the pet is allowed is required. Dog adoptions require an introduction to all members of the family as well as any existing dogs.
