Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sassy!
Sassy is a 7-year old sweetheart, who came to us after her owner got sick and could no longer take care of her. She weighs about 12lbs, is house-trained, and spayed.
This little lady is still adjusting to her new foster home and family. She's been on the timid side since arrival, but has already started looking for her foster mom and showing signs of affection.
Sassy is being fostered with other dogs and loves them! She is on the submissive side and is currently getting along great with everyone. A family with another dog would be great for Sassy.
She is eating well and has not shown any food aggression. She loves her treats, so make sure you have those ready! And toys, for much needed chew and play time!
Sassy is also being fostered with children, and she adores them!
She sleeps all night in her crate, which is currently in the foster's bedroom. She seems used to sleeping in her crate and is comfortable in it.
Sassy walks well on leash. A home with a fence would be nice but not a must, as long as she gets the exercise she needs.
Because Sassy loves company and seems to thrive around people, a family who is more home than not is ideal for her; a family that can take her on adventures and show her how nice people can be! Someone who is ready and willing to play and interact with her, in order to build trust and make her safe. In return, Sassy will provide unconditional love and companionship!
PLEASE NOTE:
We review veterinary care for applicants. This includes regular well visits, up-to-date and consistent core vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing, and regular monthly heartworm prevention.
You MUST contact your vet to give them permission to speak to us for the vet check BEFORE we call them. We will not be able to call veterinarians multiple times and we would hate for an application to be turned down because no authorization is on file with the vet.
Application can be found at www.puppypawsrescue.org
If your application meets our adoption criteria, we will contact you within 1 week. You will then be asked to schedule an interview and virtual home visit. Please check your SPAM folder for emails from PuppyPawsRescue. Due to the volume of applications, applications that do not move forward to an interview, may not hear back from us within that time frame.
Our team is an all-volunteer team, managing families, our paying jobs, households, foster dogs, application processing, interviews and home visits, follow-up, transports, and much more. We ask that you be courteous and patient with us.
