My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shaun Paw was dumped at our facility in February of 2024. Although he was very scared and confused at first, Shaun has warmed up a lot now that he knows he's safe. He loves to be spoiled and showed tons of affection. He is a vocal boy with a big meow and a big heart. He can be seen climbing the shelves or watching the outdoors in our catio and is very happy when people come on in to say hello. Shaun would love to show you what a great addition to your family he can be! He gets along well with other cats but he definitely prefers to be the center of attention and can get a little jealous when other cats take the attention. As with any introduction to resident pets, he should be introduced very slowly and with plenty of patience.

At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
