My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**WE ARE NOT A SHELTER - WE'RE A FOSTER-BASED RESCUE*

The Classic Cars litter were born November 12th, 2023 to a Rottweiler mother, but by the looks of them we think they have 2-3 different dads and no clue on their breeds. An elderly man who was once homeless took in their mama because he knew how it felt and couldn't bare to see her suffer out in the cold. They've all been vaccinated, dewormed, spayed/neutered and microchipped so all they need now is a family of their own!

Keep in mind that young puppies require lots of patience and time to learn house manners and proper obedience. If interested in adopting please apply on our website: SHELTERFRIENDS.ORG

Processing takes 1-5 days and then we'll email you (add shelterfriendsok@gmail.com to your contacts to avoid our messages going to your spam folder).

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for pets in rural Oklahoma animal shelters through adoption events and fundraisers. We're focused on the Newcastle animal shelter since that's where we're based, but we also pull from other rural shelters when we can. We are a foster-based program, meaning that all of our dogs live in private foster homes NOT a facility. This gives them better socialization skills, which makes them a more well-adjusted pet. Also, the foster parent is able to learn about the pet’s personality, likes, and dislikes so that he can be better matched to the right forever home. We always need great foster families, so if you're interested in learning more on becoming one please visit our website to apply: www.shelterfriends.org
