David is a sweet and gentle soul who is truly just happy to be loved on, cuddled and pet! He doesn't know all his basic commands quite yet (working on them) but he is completely house trained and settles down in his crate very well. He is a great sleeper and will immediately settle at night and wake up at a reasonable hour(like 8am). He is good on a leash and is perfectly capable of exercising himself in a contained yard without being destructive . He loves his treats but is not overly food obsessed. He could be perfect for someone who works remotely as he is a very quiet dog and rarely barks/whines. He doesn't seem to have bad separation anxiety and will give you a really great greeting when you return. David has a medium amount of energy that could be tamed very well with a decent daily walk. Naps are his favorite and tearing up some toys (but luckily not eating them). He has mastered the puppy dog eyes and loves to try it on new friends to get all the pets! Extremely friendly with everyone and just happy to be there.
David came to us from Cleveland Texas with another female dog and her puppies he was presumed to be the father of. He is estimated to be around 1 year old.
David is eager for his fur-ever home! He is house trained, crate trained, and potty trained! He does great with people of all ages, including babies! He is skeptical of men, but he's not aggressive towards anyone! He absolutely loves women though! He's great with other dogs!
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
