Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster is a beautiful little 2-yr-old bichon mix, and he weighs about 15 lbs. So far, he's just about perfect. He's very sweet, easy-going, always up for a walk or playtime, and he's not hyper at all. And did I mention that he's beautiful and has the softest coat ever?
Foster came into the shelter with a fractured pelvis. Usually the shelter is the last place a dog wants to be, but in Foster's case it was a blessing in disguise. Foster's heartless owners had neglected him and kept him outdoors. When he got lonely and found his way out of the yard, he got hit by a car. The shelter contacted his owners, but they never came for him, I'm guessing because they didn't want to pay the vet bills. Luckily, the nice ladies at the shelter took very good care of him and now he's on the mend.
I just can't imagine how anyone could turn their back on this little guy -- Foster is so sweet, so loving, and so beautiful. And he's brave too -- he let the vet examine him and x-ray him and he never complained. The vet says his injury will heal without surgery as long as his activities are restricted for a few weeks.
UPDATE: Foster is now running and playing with the other dogs. He still has a little 'hitch in his giddyup' sometimes, but it doesn't seem to bother him and the vet said he's healing well. Foster loves to go for walks, rides well in the car, and is very content to just sit next to you and relax. And of course he rolls over for belly rubs at every opportunity. :)
Foster prefers women and warms up to them quickly; he will warm up to men, but it just takes a little longer. Foster gets along great with little dogs, but doesn't really care for the big ones. And he pretty much ignores the cats. Foster is wary of young children, so an adult home or a home with older children would be best.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vet checked, current on vaccinations, microchipped, groomed, de-wormed, de-flea'd, and come with a collar, leash, ID tag, and puppy kisses from the lucky dog you take home!
If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Foster, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Please go to our website www.k9bestfriendsforever.com and click on "Adopt" which will take you to our online application form. FOSTER IS BEING FOSTERED IN FRESNO.
