I got Max when he was a 5 month old pup. He seemed a bit shy at first, but warmed up to us after some treats. After bringing him home, I noticed within a week that he did not take kindly to strangers. He would need to warm up to everyone he meets, and would fearfully bite any stranger trying to pet him.
Fast forward to today, he is now a 14-month-old beautiful looking dog. He is very smart and energetic, and responds well to his commands (sit, stay, come) and is protective and loving to his family, but his fear aggression toward strangers is still very present. He has bitten a couple people and I am fearful of him biting more. One thing to note, however, is that he LOVES other dogs and can play with them all day. Unfortunately, he just has this biting problem that I can't seem to control, and it lowers my confidence as his owner.
As much as I love Max, I decided it is best to rehome him to someone who can give him what he needs.
