Just another black pup who was going to be euthanized for space. Winnie would have had no chance of ever getting her home and experiencing her very own family and the life she deserves. An overlooked puppy in an extremely overcrowded high kill shelter. Well when we saw this happy little girl, so smart and sweet and exhuberant of attention and people on the last call list, we couldn't let her life get snuffed out. Just an innocent pup who was born in the hands of irresponsible uncaring humans. She was a volunteer favorite at shelter. Will someone show this sweet girl she will be loved forever? Her bio from her TX foster below. She will be arriving March 7th and needs a home to welcome her.

Winnie is a seven-month-old mid-sized Texas girl, who is eager to be loved on by all humans she meets. She greets everyone with enthusiasm, wagging her curly-Q tail. She loves to play with other dogs but takes a hint if they aren’t interested. We’re not sure about cats but she does not seem to have a prey instinct, only a “play” instinct. She loves to be outdoors and is full of energy for running and playing.
She house-trained and crate-trained very quickly, and has only chewed on her bones and toys. She is very smart, super treat-motivated, empties puzzle toys, and has learned to sit and wait for treats. Her foster mom thinks she could learn to do just about anything, especially something active like agility courses. She is also content to snuggle on the bed or couch when it’s time to relax or take a nap and is almost small enough to fit on your lap!
All of VFPR are spayed/Neutered-Current on Vaccines and Microchipped
