INTRODUCING KILLUA (meaning: son of lightning)

Killua, a charming boxer cross approaching 2 years old, weighs 87 lbs and is on the lookout for his forever home.

Killua exudes an old-soul charm. He'll nestle next to you, gently placing his paw on you for a pat. He's more comfortable around women but can be cautious around men. Killua would thrive in a home without cats or small dogs. He adores car rides, though he might need a bit of encouragement to hop into the vehicle. During one of our walks, Killua met a mother and her young daughter. The little girl offered him a treat, and he behaved impeccably, delicately accepting the treat from her. I believe he could mesh well with older, gentle children; however, toddlers might not be the best match due to his size. He relishes chew toys and treats, and he's at ease both indoors and outdoors. Thunder tends to scare him. On walks, he exhibits curiosity towards sounds, often standing at attention before moving along. He is still working on his leash skills. Is house trained.

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!

PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.

Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.

Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
