My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MISS CINNAMON is a gorgeous, regal, fluffy black and gray tabby tuxedo, who will grace you with her affection after she has had time to adjust, while JACK is an outgoing black and white tuxedo, master-of-ceremonies adult kitty who loves attention. They are a funny bonded pair, with dissimilar personalities, who bring out the best in each other. Jack is outgoing and gregarious, is curious about his surroundings, and loves to watch "Kitty TV" out the window. Miss Cinnamon loves high places—the tops of your kitchen cabinets or bookshelves—and she likes to play hide and seek under the sofa. Miss Cinnamon will honor you with her affection once she feels comfortable with you. They both love to climb and explore (they will need a cat tree), and play with wand toys and the turboscratcher. They were adopted together as kittens, and returned when their owner could no longer care for them.  It took them several weeks to acclimate to their foster home, and they are still afraid of loud noises and people who move fast (like young kids).  Whoever adopts these two needs to have the patience and forethought to work with them steadily, gently, and consistently, to get them over that hump of getting used to a new home. Once they are settled, they are incredibly sweet together.

They have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, are negative for FeLV and FIV, and include a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Jack and Miss Cinnamon in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at Petsmart. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet.   The adoption fee for the bonded pair is $170, which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.  For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  Jack ID1905-C0275R; Miss Cinnamon ID1810-C0441R

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
