Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! My name is Cher, also referred to as Cher Bear, because I’m as good natured as a Care Bear.💖 I am a gorgeous and happy to please 3 year old black lab. I am highly intelligent and very easy to train. I don’t barge at the door, I walk well on a leash, know how to sit, use a doggie door and do well in a crate. I know sit, and am working on lay down and fetch. I am HSO’s current longest term resident and have been here for about a year now. Unfortunately, this is not my first shelter, I’ve spent most of my life in a kennel. I’m very timid and shy at first but if you just give me time, love, patience, and reassurance, I’ll be a lifelong loyal companion. I would love to come home with you. Please come to the shelter today to meet and hopefully fall in love with me. You can also call the shelter at 479-394-5682 for any other questions. **************** All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.
Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.
Adoption Fees: -$60 for cats -$60 for dogs over 6 years -$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years -$100 for puppies up to 6 months
Come visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.

When you decide to adopt a pet, we charge a fee to cover some of our costs. (Except for 2 employees, all others are volunteers!) If there is any problem with your adopted pet, call us to work out a solution. Occasionally, we do take adopted pets back, but very seldom. This is why visiting our shelter is so important! We are willing to work with you! And we appreciate referrals!
