Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Willow. Aren’t I the prettiest thing? I am a 37lb, 2 year old beautiful black and white Aussie with three tri-colored paws and one white paw, from East Tennessee.
I am a sweetheart who, typical for my breed, wants to be close to my human. I am a smart girl who is eager to learn. I play well with my foster sisters and I do not pay much attention to the cats. My one foster sister does not want to be my friend, unfortunately, which has inhibited me in my growth and development. I am such a good girl and do not react aggressively and I give her space.
You might be asking why I need growth and development. The first three years of my life were not so kind to me as my primary role was to have puppies. Thankfully, me and my pack were rescued by Australian Shepherds Furever where we found loving foster homes.
Adjusting from a puppy mill mama to a family dog has taken a little time but I have found that I love it! I have grown so much and have learned how to play with my foster sisters, accept pets and cuddles, and will sit for a treat! I am housebroken and well behaved inside the house. In my foster home, the fur babies are allowed on the furniture and bed, but I listen well when told to get down.
I love my foster mom and do the cutest little dance when she comes home. I am leery of other people, however, and will often verbally express my fear through barking. I am not aggressive, just scared. I am getting much better with this through correction from the humans and increased feelings of safety. I have so much more to show the world and will blossom in the right environment.
My ideal home will be with someone who enjoys dog cuddles and has time to spend with me and provide some training to build my confidence. It would be nice if I had a dog sibling but I might be just fine being the only pup. If you are wanting to open your home and heart to a special girl, I would love to join your family.
There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
